Child Trust Funds were introduced by the UK Government in 2005. Accounts were opened for almost 6 million children born in the UK between 1 September 2002 and 2 January 2011.
The Money Advice Team will be in various Hubs over the next few months, running sessions dedicated to helping customers to complete disability benefit application forms.
A School Essentials Grant is available to assist families on a low income to buy school uniform, sports kit, uniform for enrichment activities, school bags, stationery etc. Please note IT equipment is excluded from this grant. Grants of £125 per pupil or £200 per pupil for those starting year 7 will be available.
